Joseph Smith Sermons, 1830-1844

• Closely related to the subjects of this website is my book, William V. Smith, The King Follett Sermon: A Biography (BCC Press, 2023). This is a textual study of the King Follett sermon's origins (Joseph Smith's most famous address), its reception, editing, controversies, and its evolving place in Mormonism.

  Appendix C (source criticism)

  Appendix D (comparisons of manuscripts to certain imprints with an imprint stemma (see the section titled " "Two Variorums") and a variorum for each of two imprint periods),

  Appendix E (typographical facsimiles of source manuscripts, comparison of initial 1856 draft with first imprint 1844, and a typographical facsimile of the final 1856 draft), and

  Appendix F an expanded critical text of the sermon (a color-coded transparent critical text)
